What does The Algebra Toolbox consist of?

The Algebra Toolbox consists of a series of lesson and worksheet files. These files are packaged for download within a single ZIP file, which is easy to open on any modern computer and most smart devices.

PowerPoints

Most lessons are PowerPoint files (.ppt or .pptx). You can open these using Microsoft PowerPoint or with a free viewer, including PowerPoint for web or mobile.

Microsoft Word documents

Some worksheets are editable Microsoft Word files (.doc or .docx). You can open these using Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer or online tools like OneDrive or Google Drive.

GeoGebra

The Algebra Toolbox includes some GeoGebra (.ggb) files. GeoGebra is a free mathematics tool for graphing, geometry and more. To open the GGB files, download and install GeoGebra Classic.

I've paid for The Algebra Toolbox, now how do I download the files?

After purchase, you’ll receive an order confirmation email containing a link to download your Algebra Toolbox files, as well as your purchase receipt. If you haven't received this email, please first check your Spam or Junk email folders, then contact us to re-send the download link.

When downloading the file, choose to save the file somewhere on your computer where you can find it later.

The file will be a "zip" file and will need to be "unzipped" before you can access the PowerPoints inside. If you don't already know how to do this, please read on to the next Help question...

How do I use the ZIP file I downloaded?

A zip file is like a folder; it's a container holding all the PowerPoint files included in The Algebra Toolbox. To "unzip" the file and view the documents, you will need a program or app that can do this. All modern computers can do this, and most smart devices (tablets or phones) have apps available. There are also online tools that run in your web browser.
